What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our sites, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out a form.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is encrypted and transmitted via the Transport Layer Security Protocol (TLS) to our, or in the case of a financial transaction, to our payment gateway provider's database, only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and who are required to keep the information confidential. TLS is a protocol that ensures privacy between communicating applications and their users on the Internet. When a server and client communicate, TLS ensures that no third party may eavesdrop or tamper with any message. TLS is the successor to the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

Upon completion of financial transactions, Metrobus does not store credit card numbers.

Do we use cookies?
Yes (cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

    Route 21 not servicing 3 Stops due to construction     last updated 11/17/2017 7:13:27 PM
    Due to construction, route 21 is unable to service stops 4590 (86 Commonwealth Avenue, 4595 (opposite 115 Commonwealth Avenue and 4600 (opposite 133 Commonwealth Avenue) until further notice.



    On board WiFi update     last updated 11/17/2017 7:09:42 PM
    The on board WiFi service has not been reliable for the past several weeks and is now not available on most buses.

    We have been working with the service provider to improve the service, and we began testing a new hardware unit in bus 1312 a couple of weeks ago. Once we have finished testing the unit, if the results are positive, we will begin the process of changing out the hardware so that we can deliver a reliable WiFi service on board; we would target having 30% of our fleet providing reliable WiFi before the end of 2017 and WiFi units on the remaining buses would be upgraded during 2018. If the test of the new equipment is not successful, we will continue to pursue a reliable WiFi service for our customers. Status updates on the process to improve on-board WiFi will be provided here.

    We apologize for the poor WiFi service over the past several weeks and assure you we are working to improve the service for customers.



    Route 30 detoured from Sunvalley Drive     last updated 10/30/2017 7:00:30 AM
    Construction on Sunvalley Drive will be starting Thursday, September 14, 2017. During the construction period of about 10 weeks, route 30 will not use Sunvalley Drive and will instead use Paradise Road when heading to and from the Double Ice Complex. Temporary stops will be placed on Paradise Road.



    Information on bus shelter upgrades     last updated 9/15/2017 3:49:36 PM
    As we continue to upgrade our existing bus shelters to become fully wheelchair accessible, there will be a period of time between when a shelter is removed and a new, accessible one is installed -- this is because once the old shelter is removed, we have to pour additional concrete to accommodate the larger, accessible shelter.

    Also, due to a back-order situation with the supplier of accessible shelters, you may encounter a smaller shelter than what was previously installed in some locations. Once the new shelters are delivered in the Spring of 2018, they will be installed throughout the City.

    There will be three locations that will not have a shelter in place until next Spring; these locations appear below:

    Frecker Drive at Hamlyn Road
    Portugal Cove Road (next to the former Escasoni complex)
    Blackmarsh Road (Dominion)
