Coming Soon - m-Card
Your key to the city and so much more.

In just a couple of months, we'll be introducing our new Smart Card-based fare collection system. The new "m-Card" will replace our existing 10-Ride, Monthly, and Semester Passes and will offer great benefits to Metrobus users, most notably, a rewards program whereby customers can collect m-Points and redeem them for merchandise or additional rides with Metrobus. In a few days, we'll have more information available at the m-Card website http://mcard.metrobus.com.

INTRODUCING THE NEW ROUTE 16-EXPRESS
The fastest way from The Village to MUN
Starting September 5th, we're operating a new Route 16 providing EXPRESS service between The Village, MUN, CONA, and the Marine Institute. The new Route 16 will leave The Village at 8:05a, service Cowan Heights and return to The Village for 8:25a. From there, it will operate as an EXPRESS route stopping only at MUN Centre, CONA, Marine Institute and MUN (Elizabeth Avenue). [click here for more details on the new route 16]...

SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS FOR AIRPORT HEIGHTS
Bus leaves every hour from 7:25a until 6:25p
We've made some service improvements to our Route 14 and starting September 5th, a bus will leave Airport Heights heading for MUN and Avalon Mall every hour starting at 7:25a with the last bus arriving in Airport Heights at 6:25pm. In addition, the route has been changed to provide service to the Comfort Inn on Airport Road and also to provide service to the Airport Terminal Access Road. METROBUS SKILLS COMPETITION AND CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY POSTPONED UNTIL JUNE 2007

Due to scheduling problems, the Metrobus Skills Competition and Customer Appreciation Day, originally scheduled for September 24th, has been postponed.

The event will take place in June of 2007 and more details will be provided in the coming months.

FALL SCHEDULE
		A reminder that our Fall Schedule comes into effect on Monday, September 4th. On that day, we will be operating on a regular Fall Sunday service schedule.

METROBUS SYSTEM REVIEW
		Building a better Metrobus You've probably heard about the System Review and our efforts to build a better Metrobus with the help of our customers and today's non-customers. The Review is well underway and you can stay up-to-date with our progress by visiting the Review website at http://review.metrobus.com.

METROBUS/HITS TRAFFIC REPORT
		Don't forget to tune-in to 99.1 HITS-FM weekday mornings at 7:58 to hear the Metrobus Traffic Report and get all the Metrobus information you need before heading out the door.

CUSTOMER'S CORNER
		A customer writes: You have regular ride fare $2, 10 ride ticket $18, monthly pass $63. How about some type of half month pass? Or make the monthly pass half price after the middle of the month, the 15th. Sometimes a monthly pass would be useful to me but it is too late in the month to buy one to make it feasible. Maybe the cost of the monthly pass could be adjusted as the months go on. Metrobus Responds: In November, we will be introducing a new Smart Card Fare Collection System that will allow us to offer just about any duration pass, like a 10-day, 2-week, or 1-day pass. More information about the new system will be made available as we get closer to November.
