We have received a lot of excellent feedback from customers since our Fall Schedule began on September 3rd and based on this feedback we will be making some final adjustments to our new route system on October 15th.  In addition to adjustments that have already been made within the last couple of weeks some final changes that will be taking place on October 15th include:

  • Schedule adjustment for route 1 to allow it to maintain schedule;

  • A change in the routing of route 3B to improve service to Torbay Road and Convergy's;

  • Combining route 9 and route 16 and routing it via Crosbie Road to MUN Centre while also servicing Avalon Mall, Confederation Building, Marine Institute, CONA, and Virginia Park;

  • Improvements to route 10 to allow it to maintain schedule;

  • Maintaining the additional route 13 services to provide more peak-hour capacity from The Village & Crosbie Road to MUN Centre;

  • Adjustment to route 14 so that it services Marine Institute and provides weekday night service between Airport Heights, Torbay Road, Higgins Line and MUN Centre;

  • A slight adjustment to route 15 routing to allow it to maintain schedule; and,

  • Adjustment to route 17 schedules to stagger them with route 10 leaving downtown.

As a result of these adjustments, we are delaying the start of our Service Guarantee program until Srping 2008 so that we can implement the changes and obtain data on the new schedules and routing.  We want you to know that we appreciate your patience during this period and we're offering 50-bonus m-Points to all registered m-Card holders.  If you do not have an m-Card, you can pick one up for free at any of our sales outlets when you activate it with a pass at the time of purchase and still take advantage of our bonus 50 m-Points offer.

You want buses passing at bus stops on time.  With every passing second, we aim to provide you with service beyond compare and, above all, with buses that are on time. At Metrobus, we strive to improve the on-time performance of our system every day. And we're making progress! WHAT DO WE GUARANTEE? Buses that pass by your stop on time. If not, no more than eight minutes later than scheduled under normal transit conditions. Of course, get to your stop a few minutes ahead to avoid any difference between your watch and the driver's. In case we fail to meet our commitment, Metrobus will load a ride on your m-Card.  This guarantee applies solely to our regular public transit routes within the our regular system and under normal  operating conditions.  Disruptions caused in the event of a detour, a snowstorm, a labour dispute, a traffic accident, construction, or any other fortuitous event are not included.

When you board our vehicles, your well-being is important to us. If you feel that your driver lacked courtesy or that he drove his vehicle too abruptly, please let us know. We will then look into this matter. And if we find that we didn't honour our commitment, we will load a ride on your m-Card.

You want to travel around in impeccable vehicles.  Every night, our maintenance crews spare no effort to make sure that the vehicles that have transported over 15,000 transit users during the day are impeccable once again. Whether you take the bus twice or twenty times a week, each of your trips must be made without any unpleasantness. WHAT WE GUARANTEE? Buses that are clean all over the inside so you won't soil your clothes. If, despite all our care and attention, your clothes should be soiled on a seat or on the inside of a bus, please contact us. If necessary, we will send you instructions on how to obtain a refund for the cleaning expenses you will have incurred and we will load a ride on your m-Card.

You want to travel trouble-free.  15 regular bus routes, 1,000 stops, over 350 kilometres of routes. You may know where you want to go, but you don't always know how to get there. WHAT DO WE GUARANTEE? To accurately inform you about our bus schedules, to help you find the fastest way to get where you're going. If an error made in the information you're given about using one of our 15 bus routes should cause you any inconvenience in traveling (wrong schedule or route), or if our printed materials are erroneous, we will load a ride on your m-Card.
