TRANSIT OPERATOR TRAINING PROGRAM
The St. John’s Transportation Commission is eagerly searching for interested candidates for our Transit Operator Training Program. This Program, scheduled for the spring, is four (4) weeks in length and includes training in bus driving, customer service, and operational procedures. Upon successful completion of the Training Program, individuals will be eligible for future employment as a Transit Operator.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work as a member of a pro-active customer service team; well developed verbal, listening, interpersonal and analytical skills; graduation from high school with post secondary course work preferred; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have at least five (5) years of driving experience. Class 02 and 09 endorsements are deemed an asset. Applicants not possessing these endorsements must meet the eligibility requirements.
