Traffic volumes will be much greater with many areas of the city experiencing traffic slow downs in key areas near Canada Games venues. Traffic detours will also be in effect. Please keep this in mind and where possible, take an earlier bus to ensure you arrive at your destination on time.

Route 2 will be detoured from Elizabeth Avenue between Whiteway Street and Rodney Street.
Heading east on Elizabeth Avenue route 2 will travel Elizabeth Avenue, Whiteway Street, Rodney Street onto Elizabeth Avenue to regular route.
Heading west on Elizabeth Avenue route 2 will travel Elizabeth Avenue, Rodney Street, Whiteway Street, Elizabeth Avenue to regular route.
In effect August 9 and August 24
To accommodate the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, routes 3, 10 and 11 will be detoured in the downtown area from the start of service on August 9 and August 24.
Route 3 heading to The Village will travel Harbour Drive, Water Street and service a temporary stop located just before the Magic Wok restaurant to regular route.
Route 3 eastbound will not be detoured.
Route 10 heading from downtown to University Centre will travel Harbour Drive, Water Street and service a temporary stop located just before the Magic Wok restaurant, Hamilton Ave, New Gower Street, Barter's Hill, Central Street, Livingstone Street, Long's Hill to regular route.
Route 11 heading to Shea Heights will travel Barters Hill, Waldegrave Street, right on Water Street and service a temporary stop located just before the Magic Wok Restaurant to regular route.
Route 11 heading to Avalon Mall will travel Water Street, Waldegrave Street and service a temporary stop located on the side of the Convention Centre, Barters Hill to regular route.

Route 10 will not be able to service Westerland Road during the Canada Games.
Heading to University Centre, route 10 will travel Elizabeth Avenue, left on Paton Street, right on University Avenue, right on Prince Philip Drive to Clinch Crescent to regular route.
Heading downtown, route 10 will travel Clinch Crescent, Prince Philip Drive, left on University Avenue, left on Paton Street, left on Elizabeth Ave to Anderson Avenue to regular route.
In effect August 16
On Aug 16, some roads in the downtown area will be closed to traffic to accommodate a bike race on Harbour Drive. Route 3 and 10 will be detoured all day as follows:
Route 3 heading to Stavanger Drive will travel Water Street, Waldegrave Street, New Gower Street, Duckworth Street to regular route.
Route 3 heading to The Village will travel Duckworth Street, New Gower Street, Queen Street, Water Street to regular route.
Route 10 heading to University Centre will travel Duckworth Street, New Gower Street, Queen Street, Water Street to regular route.

Routes 1, 2, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 23, 33 and 34 service the area near the Fortis Canada Games Complex on Westerland Road. Transit service will be detoured from Westerland Road during the Canada Games so pickup/drop off locations will be on Elizabeth Avenue, University Avenue or University Centre. Routes 1 and 10 will service University Avenue with a short walk to/from Westerland Road. Routes 2 and 34 will service Elizabeth Avenue with a short walk to/from Westerland Road and routes 9, 14, 15, 16 and 23 will service University Centre with a short walk to/from Westerland Road.
