At Metrobus, we connect people with their communities. In continually striving to enhance our transit
services and network, we are seeking a Manager of Marketing & Information Services. As a member of
our customer focused team, you will manage and support the development and delivery of marketing
projects and plans, as well as public and customer relations, to promote transit in the City of St. John's
and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
Plan and design marketing strategies and campaigns to promote transit service plans and offerings in
accordance with the strategic plan; coordinate the design, development and implementation of
advertising to promote transit using various media and on-line platforms; and monitor the impact and
effectiveness of advertising and promotions to engage new passengers and support the growth of transit.
Oversee the Marketing & Information Services department including transit planning, the inbound call
centre, Transit Advertising, and charter services; manage and maintain the customer information systems
and Ride Guide telephone system; respond to customer feedback and complaints received electronically
concerning web services and transit planning in an expeditious and thorough manner.
Manage all marketing materials, internal and external communications, website updates, and social media
presence on behalf of the organization; consistently monitor all web content for accuracy and clarity and
update as needed; manage the Metrobus brand, both digitally and physically; grow and sustain
engagement across all digital platforms through newsletter, alerts and customer loyalty programs.
Contribute to and support the development and execution of the strategic plan for transit service
adjustments; support the preparation of business materials for meeting presentations; participate in the
development of the annual Marketing and Information Services budget; plan and approve all expenditures
within the approved budget.
Continuously research and stay current on social media trends and platforms and monitor industry trends
for new transit-related technology developments; conduct or oversee the assessment of new transit
technologies for feasibility and make related recommendations based on expected benefits and strategic
direction.
Coordinate and participate in special projects and public relations events; establish and maintain
cooperative relationships with representatives of community, customer, and public interest groups.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or a related field. Skills
